Due to the Corona crisis, the SOUTH COAST BALTIC Boating Rally 2020 from Gdańsk via Kaliningrad to the Curonian Spit has to be cancelled. “We had intensive discussions with our Partners in Poland, Russia and Lithuania in the last days”, explains Jens Masuch from SOUTH COAST BALTIC. “But even after the – at least in parts – easing of governmental restrictions, we unfortunately had to come to the conclusion that it is not to be possible to carry out the event in this year.”
However, interested parties do not have to wait long for the next opportunity to explore Poland, Russia and Lithuania together with other boaters. “Usually, we offer our rally in altering years on an east route and a west route. In 2021, the trip from the Danish Island of Bornholm via the Polish coast to Vorpommern in Germany is scheduled again,” explains Jens Masuch. “After the cancellation, many boaters who intended to join us to Gdańsk, Kaliningrad and the Curonian Spit this year expressed interest in making the trip instead in 2021. We therefore decided to offer flotilla cruises both on the west route and on the east route in the next year. ”
In summer 2021, therefore, two SOUTH COAST BALTIC boating rallies will take place: In June, boaters can explore the southern Baltic coast on the east route. In August, the west route is on the agenda. And the dates are already fixed:
- East Route (Danzig – Kaliningrad – Klaipėda – Nida): 27 June to 6 July 2021
- West Route (Bornholm – Polen – Vorpommern): 9 to 19 August 2021
The registration for the SOUTH COAST BALTIC RALLY Gdańsk – Kaliningrad – Klaipėda – Nida has been opened already (please find registration forms & programme here). Signing in to the rally on the west route will be possible after the summer break. For a pre-reservation and further information, please send an e-mail to email@example.com.
