At your service from 2019: The SOUTH COAST BALTIC Info Lounges
From 2019, the SOUTH COAST BALTIC Marketing Initiative offers a new service: The SOUTH COAST BALTIC Info Lounges. In total, five of such “one-stop-shops” will be established at the main “entrance gates” and “intersections” of the region: Kröslin / DE, Svaneke on Bornholm / DK, NorthEast Marina in Szczecin / PL, Marina Darłowo / PL, and Smiltynes Yacht Club in Klaipeda / LT.
The SOUTH COAST BALTIC Info Lounges will provide various services that shall support boaters who would like to explore the southern shore of the Baltic Sea before and during their trips: The staff will give practical information & assistance for skippers, for example by obtaining up-to-date information on the status of military areas or by helping to plan the next stages in more detail. Cosy reading corners will invite to take a rest while strolling around in guides & books about all the five countries of the area – which may also be lent out and be given back at another Info Lounge to proceed with reading onboard.
And on top, an ”order & pick up” service for Russian visa will be offered. “With this, we respond to the growing interest of boaters in visiting Kaliningrad Region”, explains Jens Masuch, coordinator of the SOUTH COAST BALTIC Marketing Initiative. Assisted by the staff of the Info Lounge, boaters may send their visa applications and passports to a Russian consulate from one of the lounges – and can get their documents back at another one later on. “After all, the formalities related to obtaining Russian visa are not too complicated”, adds Jens Masuch. “But you simply have to know what to do and in which order, and to pay attention to some details. This is what our “order & pick up” service will help with.” The SOUTH COAST BALTIC Info Lounges will be opened in April & May 2019.
