The marina is located in the southeast of the island of Rügen on the north coast of the Greifswald Bodden. Usedom and the Bodden Waters are easy to reach for day trips but trips to Bornholm and back over the Polish Baltic Sea coast or through the Bodden Waters are also very much feasible.
Coming from Hamburg or Berlin, go via the A20, then via the B96 via Stralsund to the island of Rügen to Putbus, then at Samtens take the exit on the right to the L30 Tolkmitz, follow the L30, which merges into Lange Straße and Lindenstraße. Then turn right onto the L29/Putbuser Straße, turn right again onto the Lauterbacherstraße and drive along Chausseestraße and Fürst-Malte-Allee to the Vilmitzer Weg.
There are sufficient parking spaces right on the harbour grounds.
From Berlin and Hamburg by train to Stralsund. From here, change in Bergen on Rügen to Lauterbach.
The nearest ferry port is Sassnitz – Mukran. There is a daily car ferry service to Sweden (Trelleborg – Sassnitz). From Sassnitz by train, car or pick-up service to Lauterbach.
The nearest airports are Rostock-Laage, Berlin and Hamburg. From the airport then by train, hire car or bus to Lauterbach.
There is a grocery store in Lauterbach and a large supermarket in Putbus.
