A new opportunity to discover with SOUTH COAST BALTIC the south-eastern shores of the Baltic Sea in coming up! On 23 June 2024, it will be time to get going for the 6th edition of the SOUTH COAST BALTIC Boating Rally. For the first time since 2018, it will take place again on the “East Route”.
As usual, the meeting point is Gdańsk in Poland. From there, the flotilla will sail to Klaipėda & Nida on the Curonian Spit in Lithuania, and – for the first time – preceed further to Liepaja & Pavilosta in Latvia. “We receive a lot of questions on how to get from Poland to the Baltic States now when Kaliningrad is no longer a stopover,” explains Jens Masuch from SOUTH COAST BALTIC. “With the joint crossing from Gdańsk to Klaipėda as part of our flotilla trip, we want to offer interested boaters a concrete option for this.”
For a total of 10 days, you can enjoy within an international group of sailors and motorboaters cruising on the open sea, charming lagoon landscapes, endless beaches and vibrant cities at the southern Baltic Sea coast. “We are very glad that our rally is leading in 2024 for the first time also to Latvia”, says Jens Masuch. “This is made possible thanks to the support of our colleagues from East Baltic Coast.”
This means that participants can experience three different countries on the “East Route”. As always, the partners of SOUTH COAST BALTIC in Poland and Lithuania as well as its “sister initiative” East Baltic Coast in Latvia will organise attractive and varied on-shore excursions for the participants.
Terms of participation
Both boat owners on their own keel and charterers can take part in the rally. And motor boaters are of course just as welcome as sailors. The participation fee amounts to 280 EUR per boat and 380 EUR per person on board. Children get a discount. It includes moorings in the harbours and an attractive on-shore program with food & drinks.
